Thamiris Carvalho is a Brazilian director who left her studies in Physics to pursue a career in Art Direction at the Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematográfica (ENERC), a school of the Instituto Nacional de Cinema e Artes Audiovisuais (INCAA) in Argentina. In her stop motion work, Thamiris adopts a deliberately rustic approach, challenging the pursuit of perfect fluidity in conventional animation.
