Mario Krastev

Mario Krastev is a Bulgarian director, assistant director, producer, and performer with over 18 years of experience across stage and screen.

Since 2024, Krastev has been pursuing an MA in Film Arts at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, trained under directors Fabio Mollo and Sergio Basso, and producer Livia Barbieri. In 2025, he trained at Nu Boyana Film Studios, where he served as 3rd Assistant Director on the international feature 'Samodiva' (Film Forge Media, dir. Giles Alderson) and on commercial productions for B2Y Productions.

He has since worked across independent international film sets as a director and as 1st and 2nd Assistant Director, while developing original projects as a writer, director, and executive producer through his production company, Cineternity Motion Pictures. His work has been recognized at film festivals, and in 2025, he served as a jury member for the RAI Cinema Award at Alice nella Città. As a performer, Krastev has portrayed leading roles at the Sofia National Opera and Ballet, including productions of Boris Godunov (Feodor), Les Misérables (Marius), and Borsilav, as well as a super at the Dutch National Opera. On screen, he has appeared in commercials and television series for international platforms.
