Pierce McCleary

Pierce McCleary is a multi-disciplinary queer artist. Her special tea is documentary photography and analog film. She has been pedaling her booty off since leaving Buffalo in 2016, en route to San Francisco, where she never stopped cycling after a cross country and west coast tour. There, she got hooked on life as a bike messenger photographing all the cute mess boys and courier queens. These days she has transitioned to seafarer and can be caught sailing around the Bay, scuba diving turning tricks as a mermaid, or volunteering as a naval carpenter abroad on migrant sea rescue vessels. While she never puts down the camera, she spends her time surfing, training as a pole dancer, tattooing, and DJing in the depths of the Oakland underground.

Pierce was the original Sherector of Photograshe of She Lives. She was a crucial asset to the girls when they first started out, churning out some fab event photos and iconic promo videos. She also documented the girls having an unforgettable evening 10 years ago, and it’s called…SHE LATE!
