Episode synopsis
Given the pardon by Taiwan authority, YAN TING comes out of prison and returns to Hong Kong with the ash of her late husband, LAU KAI CHUNG. The barrister, LEO LAW, follows the will of his late father, inherits his law firm and changes his job to run the lawyer business. A worker, LAM YUK HA, is dismissed without reason after she gets injured in an industrial accident. LEO demands compensation from the employer for her and goes to the working place to investigate. TSEUNG HOK NIN, a wealthy merchant and a family friend of LEO, is shocked and angry because his only daughter, NGA YEE, informs him that she will marry in the USA, and LEO calms him down. Because TING has earlier cheated her family’s property, making her mother and brother suffer, she has to stay in the home of her good friend, KAM KWAI MUI……

Five years ago, Hong Kong citizen YAN TING (SO YUK WAH, LOUISA) was wrongly found guilty of murdering her husband LAU KAI CHUNG (WAN SIU LUN, DERIC) in Taiwan. TING is released and returns to Hong Kong. She still believes in justice and has faith in regaining what has been stripped from her. She is shocked when she meets a man BEN YUEN (also played by WAN SIU LUN, DERIC) who looks exactly like CHUNG. However, CHUNG was certified dead in Taiwan. TING is completely bewildered at BEN’s existence. The truth is slowly revealed. TING decides to strike back. BEN sets TING up for jail again. Fortunately, she meets a warm-hearted lawyer LEO LAW (LAM, BOWIE). LEO works hard on her case. His effort seems to have paid off when he digs further into the truth...
