A Trial of Life Time

Episode 1

KWOK LAP CHAU and his good friend, FONG TIN MAU are graduating from University and the future looks promising to them. YAU KIM, the brother of YAU CHING, who works as the librarian, has a passion for a university student, CHEUNG LIN YU, but CHEUNG doesn't know about it. TIN NA, who is the elder sister of MAU, helps her father to operate the hotel. She delegates her days to the business in order to make her father happy. When CHAU is back home to visit his parents with MAU and KIM in Macau, he meets YAU HAY~ who are good friends in their young days. HAY is rescued by CHAU in an attack by some bad guys who have quarrels before. And the dispute is eventually settled by CHAU's father AH KAI. KAI is engaged in drug smuggling since his early days, even ?though he is now operating a Chinese restaurant. But he refuses CHAU to engage in trial activities.

Episode 2

YAU CHING, MAU's girl friend, is studying ballet in England. She is backed suddenly with the ballet-dancing group. HOK SHU, who is father of CHING, loves Chinese arts and appears to be a columnist in the upper social circle. In order to upgrade his social status, he tries to bring CHING and MAU together. CHING meets CHAU in the dormitory and he gives a deep impression to her. HAY pretends to be in dispute with her brother YING CHUN and visits CHAU in Hong Kong. She asks him to let her stay but he finds that it's so annoying and wants to send her back to Macau. This hurts her very much. KIM reads her mind and let her stay in his home. CHING seems so indifferent to the marriage with MAU in a gathering between MAU's and her family. After CHING and MAU separate for a long time, they both have been changed and found it is difficult to adapt each other. CHING's ankle is badly hurt in a rehearsal but she tries to insist on……

Episode 3

While CHING is puzzled with affection, she falls in' love with CHAU unconsciously. She is so sad for she gets to abdicate dancing because of the ruin of her ankle. Eventually she overcomes her sadness and tries to look for a brighter future. KIM's talent in writing is highly appreciated by an editor, who encourages him to write under his own name. While he currently writes under the name of his father, SHU, and this angers him. While KIM is dissipating his sorrow in a lounge, he meets a beautiful lady and fall s in love with her just at first sight. CHAU and CHING is on vacation with MAU's family in an outlying island. Tin Na tells that CHAU and CHING will both trap with emotional problems in her fortune-telling, but nobody takes it serious. The relationship between CHAU and CHING is observed by HAY who is badly hurt. She warns CHAU not to separate MAU and CHING when she leaves for Macau in tears……

Episode 4

CHING resolute to depart from MAU and chooses CHAU. This makes MAU so angry that he questions CHAU and this completely spoils the friendly relations between them. CHING feels much lighter afterwards. Even though she and CHAU find guilty to MAU, they still enjoy falling in love with each other. PAK CHUEN, father of MAU, and SHU assuming MAU and CHING get some misunderstanding. They try to bring them together again in a dinner on the Valentine's Day. During the dinner, everybody is shocked once they see CHING and CHAU appear on the TV screen in a street interview. KIM meets the beautiful lady, HO YAN, in the lounge again. Finally he knows her in a chance and totally dedicates his love to her without knowing her background. YAN becomes the mistress of a drug smuggler, UNCLE SHING, since she immigrated from the Mainland and facing severe economic problems. And her house is the place for drug smuggling……

Episode 5

CHUN wants to shelter his dishonesties to KAI. He decides to murder KAI at CHAU's graduation ceremony and KAI is surely shot. The killer is chased by CHAU and badly hit. Both of them are caught by the police. Neglecting previous arguments, he is on bail with MAU's assistance. CHAU and CHING further their relationship on the night before his attends court for CHING wants to help him to ease his strain. CHAU is punished at court to leave a criminal record for injury. This completely ruins his future for his dream to become a lawyer is in vain. This provokes CHAU extremely. KAI is suspected to be engaged in drug smuggling and guest ions by police immediately when he passes the dangerous stage. He breaks prison and finally he falls into the sea when he is chased by the police. And it is assumed that KAI is dead.

The restaurant of CHUN and CHAU has been burnt by some bad guys, who have quarrels with CHUN. They are forced to back to Hong Kong after losing the restaurant. CHAU is shocked when he knows CHING and MAU get marries. HO YAN, as a Public Relations Officer, appears in a painting exhibition and meets HOK SHU. On the contrary, YAU KIM is glad to meet YAN again, but YAN tries to stay away. UNCLE SHING finds YAN and forces her to return the key of a mail box. YAN has queries and tries to find out by herself. She finds lots of money and decides to get them all. She uses the money to help her husband to immigrate to Hong Kong from Mainland. CHUN knows all the money has been collected by YAN, he forces her to return to him. KIM and CHAU arrive in time to stop him. CHUN agreed that all money should be reimbursed by instalment. Due to the criminal record, CHAU cannot get a job. He joins the trial of CHUN desperately……

Episode 8

After married to MAU, CHING found that she does not really understand MAU too much, fortunately her mother-in-law dote on her. CHAU works from hand-to-mouth in order to earn a living. HAY takes care of CHAU's mother. This impresses him a lot and brings them much closer. CHAU is fatedly beaten when he works out in a day. In order to ease his situation, HAY asks his brother to offer a job to CHAU.
