The Chinese title is a reference to Shi Jian, who had played as villains in many Wong Fei Hung movies featuring Kwan Tak Hing as Wong Fei Hung, and later in TVB's television series. Reversing the trends set by previous Wong Fei Hung stories, the title archvillain assumes the leading role of the series, with Wong Fei Hung as the supporting role.

Season 1

Episode 1
Bully KIN, a widely recognized character in Lower Flag Street, always go to the beach to watch troop training recently. KIN is actually a top villain in Lower Flag Street and he threatens the villagers for money all the time. KIN teaches martial arts in a kung-fu school and TING comes to challenge him. KIN beats him off with bad tricks. KIN meets TSUI at the wharf and helps her to fight against the thief. However, KIN realizes that TSUI is buck-toothed so he tries to escape immediately. TSUI bites KIN accidentally and KIN decides to take revenge. He plays tricks on TSUI and she ends up biting the wooden pillar of a pagoda in the countryside. KIN’s plan has succeeded and he is overjoyed. HUNG arrives at Lower Flag Street and finds that KIN is telling everyone that he had beaten off HUNG’s father YING. HUNG is very upset and rushes to KIN’s kung-fu school to ask for an explanation…

Episode 2
KIN sneaks into HUNG’s house to poison him but his plan fails. On the next day, HUNG finds a letter of challenge from KIN and he decides to accept the challenge. HUNG arrives and KIN threatens HUNG with YING’s ancestral tablet. HUNG has no choice but to admit defeat. YUEN invites the central authorities to a banquet. KIN tries to please YUEN by requesting HUNG to perform lion dancing in front of everybody. TSUI believes that HUNG is a weak man and refuses to marry him. YUEN’s geomantic fortuneteller advises him that the Spinsters’ house in front of his house is hindering his business development. YUEN requests KIN to take over the Spinsters’ house by all means. KUK and the other spinsters have asked TSUI to safeguard their title deed for the house. KIN discovers this and he catches PIK. FEI sneaks into KIN’s home to take back the ancestral tablet. KIN accuses FEI for stealing and FEI is arrested…

Episode 3
HUNG cannot tolerate KIN’s bad behaviour anymore and he tries to give him a lesson. KIN fights back by using clandestine weapons, and HUNG nearly loses the fight. Luckily, PIK escapes at the critical moment to rescue HUNG. KUK and the others are not able to fight with KIN. They ask MOR to write a letter to YUEN for help. KIN obtains the letter and accuses MOR for committing adultery with KUK. This incident has embarrassed the old lady KAM a lot and she tries to commit suicide. KIN witnesses the scene accidentally. While trying to rescue KAM, KIN accidentally sets the place on fire. HUNG rushes in to stamp out the fire and he believes that KIN had intentionally set fire to the place. He denounces KIN openly with TSUI and the villagers. YUEN cannot bear the pressure from the crowd and he arrests KIN eventually. KIN continues to bully around in the prison and asks FEI to be his follower……

Episode 4
KIN cannot bear the torture anymore so he decides to escape from the prison with FEI. The two of them almost succeed but KIN accidentally faints and TING captures him again… TING tortures KIN fiercely and he is sent to the hospital. FEI visits KIN and discovers that KIN has become mad after all the tortures. YUEN returns from work. He releases KIN and FEI. KIN returns to his kung-fu school and realizes that PAU has betrayed him. PAU kicks KIN out and threatens KIN that he is going to kill him. No one wants to save KIN and he becomes homeless. However, this is actually a plot designed by KIN to seize the Spinsters’ house from TSUI… KIN tries everyway to torture himself so as to win the confidence of TSUI and HUNG. HUNG believes that KIN has changed but TSUI doesn’t believe in him. KIN therefore tries even harder to torture himself and TSUI finally decides to take KIN in as one of her restaurant’s staffs…

Episode 5
LIN and HIN use the restaurant’s public money to set up their own business. TSUI discovers that a large amount of money is missing and accuses KIN for stealing. KIN accepts the accusation silently and leaves… LIN is being cheated and all the money is gone. HIN is frightened and tries to ask KIN to help. KIN brings HIN to a westerner’s teahouse to work as a model but the villagers misconceives that they are working as gigolos. TSUI and LIN learn about the news and they rush to the teahouse to find them. Everybody finally realize that they had misunderstood KIN. TSUI is grateful for what KIN has done for her friends and their relationship has improved drastically. KIN tries to declare his love to TSUI in a cave. The thunder comes suddenly and they are trapped inside the cave. KIN shouts madly and discloses his childhood misfortune to TSUI. TSUI is deeply touched and she develops sympathy on him…

Episode 6
HUNG tells KIN that if he could leave TSUI alone, he will hand over the title deed of the Spinsters’ house to him. KIN knows that HUNG doesn’t really mean it and asks TSUI to resolve the matter for him. FEI sneaks into KIN’s home to carry out investigation. While hiding himself in the dark, FEI finds that KIN has invited TSUI to his home for a drink. KIN gives some infatuating medicine to TSUI and TSUI faints. KIN wants TSUI to misconceive that she has slept with him. FEI is discovered and PAU pushes him to the sea. TSUI wakes up to find herself in ragged clothes. KIN admits that they had slept together and promises to propose marriage to her family. On their way to TSUI’s home, PAU seizes KIN. He threatens TSUI that he will kill KIN unless she hands over the title deed of their Spinsters’ house. TSUI is frightened and hands over the document to PAU. KIN announces to everybody that everything was a plot only and TSUI is deeply shocked……

Episode 7
Under KIN’s influence, SHING becomes addicted to opium. KIN subsequently gains full control over YUEN because of SHING. KIN makes trouble at Tsu Yin Restaurant. HUNG steps in and realizes that KIN has been appointed as an official in the police force. TSUI discloses KIN’s secret in the form of a comedy to everybody. The villagers learn about KIN’s secret and they are no longer afraid of him. HUNG sneaks into YUEN’s house and discovers that his son SHING is seriously addicted to opium. KIN is enraged for TSUI has disclosed his secret to the public and he tries to kill her. HUNG rushes to the scene to stop it. HUNG successfully helps SHING to get rid of the addiction. YUEN fires KIN and sends him to a very remote location in the northwest. TING bribes the policemen to torture KIN. KIN eventually falls down from the cliff. TING announces that KIN has died and everybody is overjoyed……

Episode 8
HUNG rescues KIN and hides him in a cave. TSUI’s family members try hard to find a husband for her but they fail all the time. TSUI is very upset and tells KUK that she wants to be a spinster. The villagers set up a statue of HUNG in the street. KIN suddenly appears and destroys the statue. The villagers all chase after him to beat him. KIN runs into Po Chi Lam and tells HUNG that he wants to learn martial arts from him. HUNG accepts him as his affiliate. TSUI’s ex-employer from overseas, FOK CHUN NI, comes to visit her. NI wants to produce a video documentary on Chinese martial arts. TSUI brings NI to HUNG and HUNG allows NI to stay in Po Chi Lam. Every guy in Po Chi Lam is flattered by her charm but NI only shows appreciation on KIN…
