About
Bollywood Hero is an American television miniseries which aired on the IFC in three parts on August 6–8, 2009. The miniseries was shot in Mumbai and Los Angeles. The show is a musical miniseries about Chris Kattan and his journey to Mumbai to become a leading man in Bollywood. After having some successful runs as a comedian in America, Kattan wishes for more and soon discovers that making it in Bollywood is just as hard and he has to start from scratch. Dance numbers are choreographed by Longinus Fernandes who is known for the "Jai Ho" finale in Slumdog Millionaire.

Part 1
Chris Kattan plays a version of himself, and when he despairs at the most recent role his agent has got him (a goat-like alien), he allows himself to be convinced by a young Indian director to go to Bombay and play the lead in Peculiar Dancing Boy.
Part 2
Realizing they need to do something to mollify the angry crowds burning Chris Kattan is effigy for his public kiss of Lalima (Neha Dhupia), Priya decides to appeal to Lalima for forgiveness, taking Chris with her. Turns out Lalima is quite willing to use the situation to her advantage. When Chris refuses to get her on SNL or Dancing with the Stars, she kicks him and Priya out.
Part 3
Having broken Priya's trust in him, Chris has no choice but to bury himself in his work filming Peculiar Dancing Boy. Meanwhile, Monty struggles to direct the film, and as a result Reg threatens to quit.
