Episode 1
TING SHEUNG WONG lives in Cheung Wong Estate. He is always bullied by the Cheung Wong Three Bastards, who live in the same estate as him. He and his mother, TING SAU LIN, are interdependent on each other. LIN works in the Shui Kee Sweet Soup Shop responsible for cooking sweet soup. WONG leads an ordinary life. He always thinks of his childhood sweetie, WONG KEI FUNG. FUNG’s boss has once again turned down her promotion for the reason that she lacks academic qualification. In order to save enough money to study abroad, FUNG works as a vendor at night and at the same time gives lessons to WONG. LIN retrieves from the bank 43 gold coins and put them at home. The coins are set aside for WONG’s wedding in future. FUNG is thrilled that a famous university in the States has enrolled her. FUNG resigns……

Episode 2
Looking at the gold coins, FUNG makes up her mind to go abroad. WONG comes on a bike to wave goodbye to FUNG and gives her some mangoes, her favorite. She is touched. FUNG arrives in New York. She has rent a room, the condition of which is far beyond acceptable. FUNG comes across some rascals on the way home. It is lucky that her cousin, ANGEL, comes to her rescue just in time. It turns out that the two cousins go to the same university. FUNG encourages WONG to learn some skill. WONG remembers that FUNG loves sweet dumplings, so he would like to learn from LIN. When WONG is delivering some sweet soup to Flat No. 606 of Cheung Wo House, the Three Bastards show up and tell him that there is a female ghost in the flat. WONG is scared away by a pair of ghostly eyes. WONG is overjoyed when LIN promises to teach him how to make sweet dumplings. WONG sees the Three Bastards humiliating a woman and he goes to her rescue……

Episode 3
FUNG has received some sweet dumplings, which have all molded, that WONG sent her. FUNG finds this funny though she is touched by what WONG did. ANGEL advises FUNG getting acquainted with those well-off schoolmates so that she could leave the lower reaches of society. FUNG does not agree with her at all. WONG keeps saying good things about FUNG. HO, who is jealous, points out that he and FUNG belong to two entire worlds. Unfortunately, he does not understand what it means. WONG, by invitation, goes to HO’s place for a meal; LIN goes with him. LIN praises HO for her being frugal and her cookery. She even introduces HO to work in Shui Kee. FUNG has won a scholarship. She is now even more convinced that knowledge can really change her fate. Four years have passed; WONG has eventually learnt how to make sweet dumplings. When he is cooking sweet dumplings, WONG nearly causes a fire. LIN, who is shocked, is hospitalized……

Episode 4
WONG rushes to the airport. He hides himself in an equipment box which belongs to a filming team, thinking that he can go to the States this way. FUNG has returned to Hong Kong. When SA and her husband, WONG SIU LUNG, hear from the news that WONG has been arrested, they tell FUNG to stay in a hotel for the time being. WONG is given a telling-off by LIN for demanding to go to the States. Just then, LIN discovers by chance that the gold coins at home are fake ones. WONG does not say a word. LIN, who is in anger, hits and drives him out of the house. LIN and her boss, TONG FOOK SHUI, guess that FUNG has cheated away the gold coins. They look around everywhere and find later that WONG, who has a high fever, is crouching in a park. After knowing that WONG is sick, FUNG stealthily goes to his place, but she leaves immediately as soon as she sees LIN. WONG meets FUNG again……

Episode 5
WONG has always thought that his father is an astronaut. He demands to ask astronaut YEUNG LI WAI about his father’s news. LIN, who knows the truth, feels sad. FUNG is worrying about the 3G plan but she gets some inspirations from WONG’s words later. During the interview, FUNG is shocked to learn that ANGEL has stolen her idea. Knowing that FUNG has failed the interview, WONG makes a wish for her using balloons. The balloons have been blown away by the wind and get entangled with WING’s car. WONG runs to catch the balloons, accidentally saves WING’s life and helps FUNG – FUNG is hired by WING. The excited FUNG goes to work, only to find that ANGEL is the manager while she is only the chief of a creative team. FUNG takes WONG to visit the Space Museum. FUNG needs to attend a meeting in her office urgently. As WONG is in the heat of his enjoyment, he refuses to leave……

Episode 6
CHUNG’s is giving a reception, called “The Sky of Dragons”, for YEUNG LI WAI and his delegates at a TV station. WING has given FUNG some tickets; WONG is so excited that he hurries to the TV station as soon as he knows. However, LIN goes straight to stop him. She also pretends to be sick. WONG can do nothing but to go home with her. WING sees LIN and recalls that LIN and WONG are nobody but the mother and son he abandoned years ago. WING goes to Cheung Wong Estate by himself. When he sees LIN and SHUI together, he leaves stealthily. WONG is unhappy that he cannot see YEUNG LI WAI in person. Meanwhile, WING shows up and asks WONG about LIN and SHUI’s relationship. CHUNG throws a celebration party for “The Sky of Dragons”. To revenge FUNG, RICHARD assigns her some extra jobs so that she will not be able to make it to the party. FUNG, who will not give in to RICHARD, takes the work to the hotel and has won CHUNG’s appreciation……

Episode 7
Jone’s Telecom, a subsidiary of CHUNG’s, is organizing a marketing promotion in Cheung Wong Estate. YEUNG YUEN KWAN, whose nickname is Babe and who was in the same class of WONG’s at primary school, works at Jone’s Telecom. For this reason, WONG is invited to take part in the promotion and his task is to dress up as a globe. LIN and SHUI bump into WING at a temple. SHUI warns WING not to disturb LIN’s life. The appearance of WING makes LIN sleepless. LIN wants to move houses; she goes to seek advice from SHUI. SA sees them together and mistakes that they have an affair. She also tells everybody in the neighborhood about this. Before Jone’s Telecom registers their global trademark, someone else has done so before them. The one who has registered the trademark offers to sell the trademark to CHUNG’s at the cost of 10 million dollars. WING gives CHUNG a good telling-off. CHUNG is furious that the trademark he designed has been stolen……

Episode 8
LIN has won a luxurious apartment in a lucky draw at a supermarket. LIN later finds out that WING was the mastermind of her wining prizes recently. Furious, she chucks away all the prizes. LIN asks WING out, reprimanding him for finding WONG a burden when he was young, forcing her to leave. LIN demands WING to tell everyone that WONG is his son, or else she will never forgive him. In order not to hurt his wife, SUNG MEI LUN, and his son, CHUNG, WING refuses. LIN leaves in anger. LIN locks WONG up so that he cannot go to work at CHUNG’s. SHUI tells LIN that she should let WONG learn to cope with the world outside. WONG is excited that he can go to work together with FUNG. He works hard to play his role of the globe. It is hot. The globe uniform which WONG has been wearing the whole day makes him itch. Seeing this, FUNG asks CHUNG to transfer WONG to the general affair department to work as an office assistant……
