The Bicycle Race

Episode 1

Six Dutch celebrities, together with a friend or family member, embark on a breathtaking cycling adventure through southern India. In four grueling stages, the duos make their way through the hectic, colorful, and chaotic Indian traffic. Honking cars can be heard everywhere, screeching tuk-tuks race past, and the sun beats down mercilessly on their backs. Every kilometer becomes a battle against the elements, the traffic, and themselves. It is a race full of tension and excitement, but speed is not the only factor determining the outcome – endurance, teamwork, and perseverance are at least as crucial.

Episode 2

As the first stage draws to a close, the six couples put all their energy and perseverance into reaching the finish line on time. During this exciting journey, their language skills are put to the test while they simultaneously search for the ideal wedding gift that will make an impression at a traditional wedding. The pressure mounts when a sudden and surprising turn completely changes the dynamics of the competition, resulting in the first participants having to leave the race early.

Episode 3

With renewed energy and determination, five duos begin the second stage in Karaikudi. Right at the start, they receive a striking item that has unexpectedly major consequences: for one of the teams, it ends in a hospital visit with an uncertain prognosis. While this incident unfolds, the race continues in full swing. The remaining participants do whatever it takes to maintain their performance, while mentally and physically preparing for a new, challenging task awaiting them during the final event of this stage. The tension and dynamics of the competition remain consistently high, despite the setback that strikes one of the duos.

Episode 4

Five duos brave the pouring rain during the decisive ride to the finish of the second stage. The tension is palpable as they give it their all for a spot at the finish line. The difference is made during a spectacular dance performance, and one duo is forced to leave the race.

The finale is fast approaching. The three remaining duos are pulling out all the stops to claim the stage victory. However, their boundless fanaticism is beginning to take its toll; friendships are coming under pressure due to growing suspicion and lurking lies. Episode 8

The thrilling final act of the race has arrived. The three remaining duos are closely matched in terms of performance, but only two of them will secure a coveted spot in the final. In the far south of India, the battle rages, with not only the glory of victory at stake, but also an impressive prize pool of 25,000 euros. The atmosphere is electric, the tension palpable, and every moment could make the difference between triumph and elimination. As the landscape unfolds in tropical splendor, the teams give everything they have to make their dream come true.
