Fonejacker is a British comedy programme broadcast on E4 featuring a series of prank calls involving a number of different characters performed by British Iranian television actor Kayvan Novak. It first appeared in May 2006 and became a full series in 2007. In 2005 Kayvan Novak and Ed Tracy created, wrote and directed Fonejacker, a prank call show, as part of Channel 4 Comedy Lab. After making the pilot together they were given a Christmas special and a six-part series which began airing in the UK on 5 July 2007 on E4 and lasted 6 episodes. They went on to make a second series which began airing on 17 September 2008 on E4, and started on Channel 4 on 6 November 2008. Kayvan Novak said that he was "not sure there will be a third series of Fonejacker" but despite this, several websites reported in October 2009 that a third series would air in May 2010. In November 2009, the third series was officially announced, with the news that it would be called "Fonejacker 3D" and feature Kayvan Novak portraying both old and new Fonejacker characters face-to-face in the public domain. Renamed Facejacker, the new show began airing on 16 April 2010. Fonejacker won the BAFTA award for the "Best Comedy Programme" in 2008. Novak plans to create a film based on the show's characters, and is currently in talks with Film4 and Hat Trick Productions.

Season 1

Episode 1
The Fonejacker is a proficient prank caller who calls unsuspecting members of the public pretending to be various characters. Each character has on-screen animations, consisting of pictures of people with their mouths moving, in a crude unrealistic way. Others sections of the show are accompanied by undercover filming in which the Fonejacker in person is in a street calling a company for farce, standing nearby to gauge the reactions.

Episode 2

Episode 3
The king of prank calling is back with yet more annoying characters to terrorise the British public. In this episode we have a sketch with Mr. Broadbandings, he calls a woman about upgrading her mobile phone contract which is overly-priced. While new character Criminal Dave calling a locksmith asking about unlocking a safe whilst robbing a bank. The usual characters also spring up including George Agdgdgwngo who calls a man after discovering a pigeon in his bank account.

Episode 4
The fonejacker unleashes more prank calls on unsuspecting members of the public. This episode features sketches with Terry Tibbs calling a man about buying a Rolls Royce and offering a much higher price as most export scammers do. Also new character Bijan who calls a paparazzi service whilst chasing David Beckham offering pictures and videos of him. Other regular characters featured include George Agdgdgwngo, Mike & The Mouse.

Episode 5
Prank calling taken to the next level, in this episode the Fonejacker gets some fresh new victims. The stand out sketches from this episode feature Mr. Doovde who calls a shop asking if they sell the Puss 3 (Playstation 3). Criminal Dave calling for a minicab to pick him up at a bank, whilst an alarm bell is ringing and new character Vishka Vishkovsky calls a circus agency about his dancing bear act. The usual regular characters are also back featuring, George Agdgdgwngo, Mr. Broadbandings & Mike.

Episode 6
The prankster is back in this the final episode of series one. The sketches featured include the regular star characters George Agdgdgwngo who is calling from British Gas to tell the victim that he has been overcharged by 36,000,000 Ugandan Dollars which works out to be about £6. The Mouse calls a cheese shop to get the victim to read out the different types of cheese, the mouse gets very excited. New characters include a hospitalised man on a breathing machine calling a company for life insurance . Other regular characters include Mr. Doovde, Mike & Detective Horace Von Khute.
