Season 1
Irretrievable Breakdown
Solicitor Ben Conroy returns to the UK, to work his Father-in Law. Barry Tomlin wants him to find an absentee landlord who is failing to make repairs. He learns landlord Donald Tweedy is his client but when a man dies he decides to help.
Mutual Consent
George Ross attempts to stop Conroy's law centre. Mrs. Baker fails to tell Conroy about legal advice she received from his ex-wife, at Kingdom's. So Ross attempts to remove him from representing Mrs. Penrose in a custody case.
Motives
George Ross tells the law society he doesn't want law centre near Kingdoms. Ellen wants Ben and Angela to stop divorce proceedings and gives him £3,000 for much needed repairs. The law society will not back Ben unless he moves location.
Notice to Quit
The Law Centre opens it's doors, for free advise, but are still waiting on the law society's decision. George Ross discovers the waiver is granted so plans to block the council grant. Simon Brooke quits Kingdom's join to Ben has a partner.
Trespass
Acting for the law society, George Ross wants the Law Centre to move and stop Simon Brooke's move. Dorothy gets a summons from George, for helping squatters. Ben learns that George is the owner of the property and has failed to mention it.
Modus Vivendi
Following rumours of bribery, union representative Jim Woodley asks Ben to find the name of George's client. Ben confronts George about the ownership but he announces his retirement but only if Simon returns and Angela stays at Kingdom's.
