About
Neurosurgeon Cheung Yat-Kin marries fellow doctor Fan Tze-Yu and the two are happily living together, expecting their first child. However, when Tze-Yu is diagnosed with a tumour, her pregnancy becomes medically unsafe and, much to her dismay, Yat Kin doesn't want her to go through with childbirth. This causes a dangerous rift between the two, one that love alone can't bridge. But before the once-happy couple can focus on their marital problems, Yat-Kin also has to contend with pathology specialist Lok Man-Sang, a new arrival to the hospital who simply cannot go without disagreeing with Yat-Kin, and who also gets involved with Heung Chin-Yi, an internal medicine doctor nearly 20 years his junior with her own heartbreak to deal with. Between an unwanted power struggle, the slow disintegration of their marriage, and the small matter of saving lives, Yat-Kin and Tze-Yu have to figure out how to bring their flat-lining marriage-and love-back to the operating table.

Mutated H5N1 is discovered in Hong Kong and everybody in the healthcare sector is very nervous. Doctor YEUNG PUI-CHUNG adores his good friend Doctor KAN CHING-CHING but CHING-CHING suddenly resigned last year. Two of his good friends persuade him to let go but PUI-CHUNG continues to buy daily commodities for CHING-CHING. The patient Grandma HA TUNG-MUI starts a quarrel with Doctor HUNG MEI-SUET for MEI-SUET takes away her chocolates before surgery. Doctor CHEUNG YAT-KIN helps her to settle the problem. On the wedding day of male head nurse LUI SIU-YIK and female head nurse TO KA-MAN, YAT-KIN and his pregnant wife Doctor FAN TZE-YU agreed to go together but YAT-KIN forgets to bring their gift. TZE-YU's younger sister MEI-SUET picks her up instead. Pathology consultant doctor LOK MAN-SAN reveals in a media interview that a tourist called Mr WONG is believed to be infected with the mutated H5N1……

MAN-SAN, his cousin MONICA and his good friend MOYUNG WAI open a coffee shop together. MOYUNG WAI persuades MAN-SAN to treat his illness as early as possible but MAN-SAN doesn't take it seriously. MAN-SAN discovers that his patient's tumor cell is in its 2nd phase already. Deputy consultant doctor CHONG BOK-MAN suggests him to perform an operation for the patient and he assigns MEI-SUET to be his immediate assistant. PUI-CHUNG, SHUI-WAH and two other friends join singles party together. The girls laugh at them and they are upset. MEI-SUET and BING-CHAN visit YAT-KIN to try his mother SIU-ANG's homemade soup. TZE-YU receives an urgent call from the hospital and YAT-KIN accompanies her to go back. CHIN-YEE looks for MONICA at the coffee shop. MOYUNG WAI and MAN-SAN reveal that MONICA is not in Hong Kong. HIU-TUNG returns from Australia and she works as a volunteer in the hospital. She believes that PUI-CHUNG's girlfriend is living abroad……

When TZE-YU sends the patient to the operation room, she suddenly falls down because of serious body pain. YAT-KIN worries that her disease is coming back. A man called CHAN KA-KWOK is sent to the hospital after an injury. When his girlfriend TONG MEI-BO is quarreling with him, KA-KWOK suddenly collapses. After giving birth to a baby, the doctor discovers a shadow in Mrs WONG's lung and she needs to have antibiotic injection. A group of new staffs arrive and BING-CHAN teaches them to know each other more with games. When MEI-SUET is having dinner with BING-CHAN, she teaches TZE-TING to sew the wound through online video call. PUI-CHUNG brings HEI-YAN to the rest room. He finds HIU-TUNG and SIU-ANG studying the recipes. He suggests HEI-YAN to learn cooking as well in order to become a real woman but HEI-YAN teases him in return. MEI-SUET asks TZE-TING to learn more from SHUI-WAH and TZE-TUNG is worried……

CHIN-YEE brings a self-made doll to the coffee shop and MAN-SAN recalls his sad memory. When MAN-SAN leaves hospital, he meets his deceased wife's younger sister SUEN MAN-YUET. MAN-YUET asks if he has met his daughter and MAN-SAN reveals that he doesn't know that his daughter has returned. TZE-YU's illness is back and TAI-KWONG suggests her to have electrotherapy as well as an induced abortion. KA-KWOK is not taking medicine on time and he has signs of paralysis. HON-PONG suggests YAT-KIN to follow up the case. SIU-YIK and his wife discover that HEI-YAN is running out secretly. When HEI-YAN is sent back to the hospital, she tries to run away again. YAT-KIN finds HEI-YAN unhappy and he chats with her. HEI-YAN reveals that her mother has died and her father doesn't care about her. After dreaming of his deceased younger brother YAT-HONG, YAT-KIN reveals to TZE-YU that he will support her decision to keep the baby……

TZE-YU and MEI-SUET's mother SZE YUK-LAN return to Hong Kong. YUK-LAN worries about TZE-YU and she decides to accompany her. HEI-YAN plays music and sing at MAN-SAN's office. MAN-SAN scolds her for not respecting others and HEI-YAN runs away tearfully. MAN-SAN discovers CHIN-YEE sleeping on a bench near the coffee shop. He sends her home and discovers that she is a medical student. Everybody exchange gifts during the party. All of them get baby stuffs and they decide to give them to TZE-YU. KA-KWOK pushes a patient and the patient collapses. CHIN-YEE performs first aid for the patient immediately. TZE-YU reveals to YAT-KIN that she decides to give up the baby and she asks YAT-KIN to take good care of himself. On the day of TZE-YU's operation, YAT-KIN is late. TZE-YU calls him and YAT-KIN reveals that he is not able to arrive on time for there is an accident in the operation he is performing...

After removing the tumor and stasis in KA-KWOK's brain, SHUI-WAH asks YAT-KIN to visit TZE-YU. When YAT-KIN arrives, TZE-YU's abortion is finished. KA-KWOK suffers from partial paralysis when he wakes up. MEI-BO claims that she will make a complaint to the Hospital Authority requesting that YAT-KIN's doctor license should be forfeited. PUI-CHUNG discovers that the seed given by TZE-YU is not able to grow healthily. HIU-TUNG comes to pick up some floral foam and she suggests methods to save the plant. HA LEI is ill and her husband SZE WING-KUNG brings her to the public hospital. HA LEI is upset that her husband didn't bring her to the private hospital for treatment. TAI-KWONG assigns CHIN-YEE to have her training at the internal medicine division. HA LEI is partially deaf and she fails to hear CHIN-YEE's words. YUK-LAN, MEI-SUET and BING-CHAN visit HA LEI together. HA LEI says that MEI-SUET doesn't know how to treat her illness……

MAN-SAN discovers CHIN-YEE helping WING-KUNG to find his ring from the rubbish bin and he appreciates it very much. MAN-SAN suspects that HA LEI's illness belongs to the ICC division and he asks YAT-KIN if he is confident to perform an operation for his relative... CHIN-YEE sends HA LEI's family photo to MAN-SAN. LI KA-FUN, houseman in the cardiothoracic surgery division, is mesmerized by her beauty at first sight. After having electrotherapy, TZE-YU vomits a lot. SIU-ANG suffers from joint pain but she tries not to let his son and daughter-in-law to know. TZE-TING performs unsatisfactorily while meeting with the patient NGOK HO-BIU.
