About
HIM is a British three-part miniseries created by Andy de Emmony and Paula Milne for ITV. A supernatural drama, it stars Fionn Whitehead as the titular character, with supporting roles by Katherine Kelly and James Murray. A 17-year-old boy, known only as HIM, caught in the limbo between childhood and adulthood is also trapped in a limbo between the two homes of his divorced parents, each now remarried with new families. Like most boys, he finds it hard to process his feelings so tends to 'act out'. But his behaviour is also triggered by something else — his primal struggle to contain the terrifying secret of a supernatural power he inherited from his grandfather. Episode 1
Living in between both his parents’ houses, HIM feels ousted by their respective new families, with his Dad expecting twins with his new wife and a baby brother to contend with at his Mum’s house. However, when his stepsister Faith moves in, the fragile balance is threatened further as he develops feelings towards her. HIM finds himself struggling with adolescence and, unlike other teenagers, he has the additional pressure of learning to master his inherited telekinetic powers.

Having lost control over his powers and nearly destroying his Dad’s house, HIM’s parents struggle to work out what is best for their son, whilst he continues to fight his feelings for stepsister, Faith. As HIM and Faith become closer, their relationship is pushed to the limits, putting an extra strain on HIM’s emotional state and threatening to have devastating consequences.
Episode 3
When therapist, Ross’s whole scientific belief system is called into question after he witnesses HIM’s powers first-hand, he is determined to find a way to help his patient. Meanwhile, following the accident, Azfal remains unconscious in intensive care. With his family and Faith praying for him to wake up, HIM feels helpless, particularly when Faith berates him for running from the scene.
