About
Law Lai Jing's love life has been full of thorns. She is over 40 years old and still busy dealing with her ex-boyfriend's debts of gratitude. With no house and no job, and having experienced a woman's most painful of being abandoned by the groom on her wedding day, Law Lai Jing has no choice but to participate in a comeback competition organized by a hotel for the biggest losers. She hopes that it will lead to a stable job and income. It turns out that the event organizer is Chong Fu Ho, whom she had a one-night stand with many years ago. He appears to have forgotten about her. They develop a good employer-employee relationship. Chong Fu Ho's son, Chong Juan Wing, was originally the general manager of the hotel, but is demoted to trainee after angering his father. With help and advice from Law Lai Jing, Chong Juan Wing is able to gradually improve his relationship with his father. Chong Juan Wing loses his direction when he falls in love with a mysterious girl, fellow trainee Mui Sze.

Episode 1
Rewinding three years, CHONG FU-HO, Shakespeare Corp CEO, is accompanied by SIN CHI-KEUNG, principal counsel, at an award ceremony to accept Most Outstanding Entrepreneur Award. Meanwhile, LAW LAI-CHING, make-up artist of Buffett Studio, is marrying her fiancé LUNG. During the wedding proceedings, hanky-panky video footage of LUNG and some bridesmaid is shown. LAI-CHING complains to DINA BUFFETT, her aunt-in-law-to-be and also boss, about LUNG's indiscretion, and storms out of the banquet with LAI-CHI, her elder sister, and KO SUM, photographer. LAI-CHING leaves her heels in the hotel lift, and at the same time, FU-HO is also leaving Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel with his tipsy son TSUN-WING. He picks up LAI-CHING's shoes and throws them in the bin. Righteous LAI-CHING not only takes care of DINA but also HAZEL FAN, sister of ex-boyfriend TITAN FAN. She even has their ancestral tablet and pet snake in safekeeping……

KO SUM demonstrates shooting wedding photos and video to TSUN-WING. CHI-KEUNG finds TSUN-WING, and explains why FU-HO only cares about work. In the wedding ceremony, KO SUM only focuses on HAZEL, who has come to congratulate the bride, and he completely ruins the wedding photos and video. LAI-CHING tries her best to correct KO SUM's mistakes. FU-HO persistently discusses with hotel staff about ways of increasing profit. After another such meeting, CHI-KEUNG takes FU-HO to TSUN-WING. TSUN-WING tries to convince FU-HO to let him manage Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel. TSUN-WING makes hotel booking for LAI-CHING's wedding. While decoration of bridal room is being messed up by a foursome, front desk receives complaint from next room, which is overheard by FU-HO. While LAI-CHING is arguing with staff about treatment fees after complete body hair removal at hotel's beauty parlor, FU-HO comes in for a massage……

LINA, FU-HO's ex-wife, forces him to sign contract with singer FANTASTIC, but FU-HO thinks LINA's demand is absurd. TITAN is getting ready to marry LAI-CHING, but ICY, his American girlfriend, catches up with him at the hotel. Evading capture by ICY, TITAN pushes FU-HO into the lift and confesses his dilemma over choosing which girl. FU-HO expresses his sentiments about marriage. LAI-CHING questions TITAN why he does not keep his marriage promise. TITAN replies his idol FU-HO says that all married women will change. LAI-CHING decides to confront FU-HO about his words. LAI-CHING sneaks into FU-HO's room and then waits for him the whole day. FU-HO returns to his room for a bath and some rest, but discovers a drunken LAI-CHING crawling out from the bathtub and accusing him. Back home, while DINA torches TITAN's cardboard stuff, LAI-CHING is branded as The No No Girl as no one wants to marry her……

LAI-CHING is deeply touched by TSUN-WING's quintet who work really hard and donate all their earnings to her for repaying debts. TSUN-WING tenders his resignation to KO SUM, and thanks LAI-CHING for making him understand gains and losses should not influence a mutual relationship. TSUN-WING is determined to improve himself. TSUN-WING expresses remorse to FU-HO and wishes to have the opportunity to prove that he is capable of improving the hotel's performance within two years. TSUN-WING returns to hotel and embarks on a campaign of Losers Recruitment Day in search of suitable candidates for makeover. LAI-CHING comes to the hotel for beauty treatment, but the sight of FU-HO triggers more hiccups, and she goes into hiding in the banquet hall. YING PAN bumps into despondent LAI-CHING, and mistakes her as applicant for Losers Recruitment Day, so he takes her to the basement for an interview……

Soaked MUSE MIU braves the rain trying to flag down a taxi. Feeling generous, TSUN-WING gives her a ride. Pulling down her clothes to wipe off rain water, TSUN-WING guesses this is MUSE's gesture of seduction. LINA does not approve TSUN-WING hiring PISA K, alias Soprano Queen, for performance, because PISA K showed amorous feelings for FU-HO in an anniversary party seven years ago. Because of poor DSE exam results, HAZEL has gone into hiding, and KO SUM searches high and low for her. HAZEL does not want to rely on LAI-CHING anymore. KO SUM is willing to take care of HAZEL. HAZEL takes KO SUM to make solemn declaration before Earth God, and they become sworn brother and sister. LAI-CHING makes every effort to find new job but to no avail. DINA wittingly dials wrong number to tell LAI-CHING she has high fever. LAI-CHING is worried, so she promptly visits DINA. LAI-CHING returns to work at Buffett Studio……

TSUN-WING invites LAI-CHING to work as an intern at Midsummer Night's Garden Hotel to repay her debts, but LAI-CHING fears seeing FU-HO will trigger more hiccup attacks. HAZEL debuts as a promotional model, but the advertisement production director gives her a real hiding. KO SUM counter-accuses the director of incompetence in defense. After listening to KO SUM's speech, Master Chow, advertiser, decides to give him a try. In a management meeting, TSUN-WING highly praises MUSE at the slightest mention of her name. FONG ON points out that MUSE is very popular with hotel guests, but TSUN-WING thinks it is only because of her pretty face. TSUN-WING orders MUSE to clean his room but he in fact wants to see her actual performance. MUSE keeps her cool. LAI-CHI, HAZEL and DINA help LAI-CHING put on hotel uniform. TSUN-WING takes LAI-CHING to the sports ground to watch FU-HO's tennis game……

TSUN-WING engages in a recruitment drive. FU-HO decides not to interfere with TSUN-WING's decisions, but tells him to keep away from MUSE. LAI-CHING finally finds out FU-HO's nasty motive for taking revenge on her. She thinks he wants to punish her for peeking at his embarrassing moves on the tennis court. HAZEL's DSE exam results are disappointing, so she decides to abandon school and start a career as a model. But KO SUM does not want HAZEL to get into showbiz. TSUN-WING only wants to know whether MUSE is a good or bad girl. He orders YING PAN to find out. CHI-KEUNG has found new intern to clean FU-HO's room, but FU-HO asks for reassigning LAI-CHING back to clean his room, so that he can monitor her performance. LAI-CHING is harassed by drunken guests. Having been teetotal for the past seven years, FU-HO breaks this cardinal rule and gulps down the wine in defense of LAI-CHING……

TSUN-WING discovers department managers are secretly meeting up at the bar, and he also overhears their criticism about him. TSUN-WING tries to prevent FAN-TAU from bringing his girlfriend for some hanky-panky at the hotel. But he finds out FAN-TAU has befriended many colleagues, who have all become accomplices.
