It follows independent eviction specialists working on behalf of landlords attempting to evict tenants who are behind with their rent, and local authority housing officers investigating rogue landlords and unsafe living conditions, including illegal HMOs (House in Multiple Occupation).

Meanwhile, in Darwen, letting agent Paul issues proceedings on a tenant who is more than £3,000 in arrears, but Paul's attempts at evicting him are delayed when the tenant refuses to leave without Paul giving him a good reference.
